GASP (Gay and Straight People) is an entirely unofficial community led by students at Pacific Union College, a Seventh Day Adventist liberal arts college located in the hills above Napa Valley, California. Founded in September of 2008, we provide a supportive community for LGBTQIA students on campus, and to educate and foster understanding within the Adventist community at PUC. We will be posting notices and summaries of our meetings here, and other related information.
All those interested in supportive conversations about the issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and questioning students at PUC are welcome to join our community. We meet every other Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm when school is in session. Announcements about meetings and other GASP events and material are posted regularly on our Facebook page at:
More information about GASP can be found in this article:http://spectrummagazine.org/node/4566
Please feel free to contact us at any time at our confidential email address: firstname.lastname@example.org). Current and potential students looking for information about what the climate on campus is like for LGBTQ students are particularly encouraged to contact us.
